£6k raised for charity!
We proudly supported The Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds again last year, providing a tow car for their Santa float. We are so pleased to hear they raised an amazing £6k for charity! What a great end to 2022.
NEWS RELEASE from THE ROTARY CLUB OF AYLESBURY HUNDREDS
A wonderful collection total from the generous public of Aylesbury.
Santa and his charity helpers together with contributions from the customers of Tesco and Sainsburys amassed a wonderful total of £6,029. 00 this Christmas time for local and Rotary charities.
Kindly sponsored by Sportif Citroen of Aylesbury who supplied the tow vehicle, the float toured the streets of Aylesbury with Christmas music and Santa waving from his chimney to see the many children excitingly waiting to greet him.
Two Members of the Young Farmers Club Terry and Dave were very willing voluntary drivers, and they did a smooth and efficient job.
President Charles Chaney and the members of Aylesbury Hundreds Rotary club would like to thank everyone who contributed and thank them for the very generous donations received.
“In these trying times it is so pleasing to see such public generosity” said Charles “we are indeed very grateful”.
A number of local charities will benefit this year, including the Club’s Charity of the year Dementia UK.
